From an empty True Value to a 14,000 square foot cannabis campus
The building on the White Horse Pike sat abandoned for years, a former True Value hardware store that most of Absecon drove past without looking. Red Oak’s founders, with experience in several state cannabis markets, chose it on purpose. The plan was never just a store. It was a destination: a retail dispensary in Suite A, a production facility in Suite B, and the ROC n Roll Smoke Shop in Suite C, under one roof, part of more than $7 million in neighborhood improvements.
The result is a 14,000 square foot campus that looks nothing like the building it replaced, from the architecture to the landscaping out front, and a business that now employs more than 30 local people with more roles planned as production grows.
